Overview

In order to better serve our students here at Atlanta English Institute (AEI), we have partnered with Cambridge Assessment English to provide external assessments and resources to help students succeed in their language-learning and or academic journey. AEI is a proud Authorized Linguaskill Agent and Cambridge Assessment Admissions Testing Center.

Linguaskill

Linguaskill is an online external assessment that measures the English language proficiency of individuals or groups of students. It tests students in Reading, Listening, Speaking, and Writing.

The assessment exam is divided into three sections:
      • Reading and Listening (75 minutes)
      • Speaking (15 minutes)
      • Writing (45 minutes)

Linguaskill is perfect for:
      • Students who are currently enrolled in business education classes (C1 Business Higher)
      • Students who want another measure of their English skills
      • Students who want to pursue undergraduate or graduate degrees in the United States or internationally
      • Students and or professionals who require a certain level of English for professional and career purposes

Anyone who takes all three sections of the Linguaskill Assessment will receive an official Linguaskill certificate and score report with their CEFR score (A1-C2).       • BioMedical Admissions Test (BMAT)*
      • Test of Mathematics for University Admission (TMUA)**
      • Engineering Admissions Assessment (ENGAA)
      • Natural Sciences Admissions Assessment (NSAA)
      • Thinking Skills Assessment Section 1 (TSA S1)
      • Thinking Skills Assessment (TSA)
Testing times are subject to change. Please look for a confirmation email from Atlanta English Institute. All tests will be paperbased.

Registration Deadlines
• Early Registration: September 1 – September 19, 2023
• Late Registration: September 20 – September 25, 2023

Other Deadlines
      • Deadline to apply for modified papers (large print): September 12, 2023
      • Deadline to apply for Access Arrangements (e.g. extra time) - September 25, 2023
      • Deadline for withdrawing entries - September 25, 2023
Please note, late entries will not be accepted.

Test fees are set by Cambridge and not the test centre.
         *BMAT costs $142.00 (this does not include the centre fee)
         **TMUA costs $142.00 (this does not include the centre fee)
         All other test costs are included in the centre fee (see below)

Centre Fees:
• Each test has a fee for testing materials and administrative set up called the “Centre Fee.” Centre fees are $165.00 for early registration and $205.00 for late registration.

Important Testing Information
      • Plan to arrive 30 minutes prior to the test start time
      • Please note that a picture ID is required upon check-in
      • Cell phones, smart watches, and other electronic devices will not be permitted in the testing room
      • Backpacks and purses will be stored in a separate secured room
      • No refunds will be given
