Partnering To Promote Educational Excellence

Overview

This program was designed to partner with agents around the world that help international students find schools where they can study abroad. English is a first step to global travel and an international education. The Atlanta English Institute is committed to excellence in ESL education. At AEI, we work closely with an extensive network of agencies around the world and we are consistently seeking out partnerships with qualified agents, worldwide to provide students from across the globe the opportunity to reach their education, career and life goals that require learning English as a Second Language.

Student Expenses

The estimated budget for 1 year studying at AEI might look like this:
Tuition: $1525 x 6 session (1 year) = $9150
Books: $85 x 6 sessions (1 year) = $510
Application fee: $175 (one-time payment)
Housing:  
While there are several options for housing, let’s examine HomeStay for our example here:
Placement fee - $225 (Paid to Atlanta Homestays prior to placement.)
Full Homestay - $900 per month (Paid directly to the host family upon move-in.)
Bed, No Meals - $700 per month.
Bed & Breakfast - $800 per month.
Bed, Breakfast & Dinner - $900 per month.
Travel:
• Airfare/moving expenses based on situation
• Airport transportation fee - $85
Additional living expenses (transportation, food, etc.):
• $300-1000 per month

1 year estimated total = $22,000 - $33,000

Program Requirements

Each program carries its own set of requirements. Let's review them here:

1. Intensive English

Intensive English Program (IEP) - ESL Classes
• Meets legal requirements for F-1 visa status
• 20 hours per week / Eight-week sessions
• Days: Monday – Friday
• Time: 9:00 am – 12:50 pm or 5:00 pm – 8:50 pm
• Book Fees: $85/session

Intensive English Course (IEC) - ESL Classes
• Meets legal requirements for B1/B2 visa status
• 15 hours per week / Eight-week sessions
• Days: Monday – Friday
• Time: 9:00 am – 11:50 pm or 6:00 pm – 8:50 pm
• Book Fees: $85/session

2. Test Preparation

College Admissions Related Test Preparation
Study Requirements
• 22 hours per week / Eight-week sessions
• Days: Monday – Friday
• Time: Mornings, afternoons, and evening
• Book Fees: $55/session

Prerequisites
• Successful completion of all seven levels of AEI’s Intensive English Program
    - or: score higher than Level Seven on AEI’s placement test
    -or: successfully passed professional exams in English
• Students must pass Section 1 or show scores of 70 or higher on the actual TOEFL exam, 150 for GRE or 630 for GMAT before enrolling in Section II.

USMLE Test Preparation
Study Requirements
• 22 hours per week / Eight-week sessions
• Days: Monday – Friday
• Time: Mornings, afternoons, and evenings
• Book Fees: $135/session

Prerequisites • $200 refundable deposit for library resources
• Successful completion of all seven levels of AEI’s Intensive English Program
    - or: score higher than Level Seven on AEI’s placement test
    - or: successfully passed professional exams in English
• Students must pass Section 1 or show scores of 70 or higher on the actual TOEFL exam, 150 for GRE or 630 for GMAT before enrolling in Section II.

BEC-Higher Learning Certification Test Preparation
Study Requirements
• 22 hours per week / Eight-week sessions
• Days: Monday – Friday
• Time: Mornings, afternoons, and evening
• Book Fees: $55/session

Prerequisites
• Successful completion of all seven levels of AEI’s Intensive English Program
    - or: score higher than Level Seven on AEI’s placement test
    -or: successfully passed professional exams in English
• Students must pass Section 1 or show scores of 70 or higher on the actual TOEFL exam, 150 for GRE or 630 for GMAT before enrolling in Section II.

3. Tutoring and Individual Needs Program

Tutoring and Individual Needs
In this program, someone will fill out the associated request from by clicking here (links to tutor request form) and AEI will customize a tutoring program and schedule specifically to the individual’s needs.
